The 2024 Penny's Hill Yeenunga Grenache is a single-vineyard McLaren Vale Grenache sourced from 52-year-old bush vines planted at around 170 metres elevation. The nose is perfumed with red cherry, raspberry and cranberry, joined by rose petal, dried herbs and savoury spice.
On the palate, it is layered and finely structured, with vibrant red fruit, fresh acidity and focused tannins. 30% whole bunch fermentation adds complexity, while maturation on lees in concrete eggs and seasoned French oak puncheons builds texture without masking the fruit.
