The 2022 Penny's Hill Edwards Road Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-site McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon grown from a small block beside Edwards Road. The nose shows cassis, blackberry and mulberry with dried herbs, bay leaf, tobacco and subtle dark chocolate notes.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied and structured, with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity and fine, supple tannins. The wine spent around 14 months in French oak, adding cedar and spice while maintaining clear Cabernet fruit and a long, savoury finish.
