PROSECCO
Prosecco is one of Italy’s most popular sparkling wines, primarily produced in the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions in northeastern Italy. Known for its light, fresh, and approachable style, Prosecco has gained global recognition as a versatile and easy-drinking sparkling wine.
The region benefits from a temperate climate with influences from the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, creating ideal conditions for growing Glera, the main grape used in Prosecco production. The rolling hills and well-drained soils contribute to wines with bright aromatics and balanced acidity.
Prosecco is typically made using the Charmat method (tank method), which preserves the grape’s fresh fruit character and results in soft, lively bubbles. The wines are usually aromatic, with notes of green apple, pear, citrus, and white flowers, and are often produced in styles ranging from Brut to Extra Dry.
