ALSACE
Alsace is one of France’s most distinctive wine regions, located along the eastern border of France near the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine River, across from Germany. Known for producing some of the world’s finest aromatic white wines, Alsace combines a cool continental climate with diverse soils that create wines of remarkable purity and precision.
The region is particularly famous for grape varieties such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat, which are typically bottled as single-varietal wines rather than blends. Alsace wines are often recognised for their intense aromatics, vibrant acidity and strong sense of terroir.
Protected by the Vosges Mountains, the region enjoys one of the driest climates in France, allowing grapes to ripen slowly while retaining freshness and structure.
