TORBRECK
Torbreck Vintners is a celebrated Australian winery based in Marananga, in the iconic Barossa Valley of South Australia. Founded in 1994, Torbreck has earned international acclaim for its powerful, Rhône-style red wines, crafted with deep respect for the region’s old-vine heritage and distinctive terroir.
Torbreck’s philosophy centres on honouring and rejuvenating some of the Barossa’s most historic vineyards, ensuring that ancient Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro vines continue to produce world-class fruit for generations to come. The winery often embraces traditional, hands-off winemaking to let vineyard character shine through, and sources fruit from its own estates (like Hillside, Descendant, Keller and Laird vineyards) as well as long-standing grower partners across the valley.
The winery’s portfolio showcases a range of styles, from more accessible expressions like Woodcutter’s Shiraz and The Steading GSM to flagship wines such as RunRig (a Shiraz-Viognier blend praised for its richness and structure) and ultra-premium single-site bottlings like The Laird and The Forebear — both crafted from historic vineyards and designed for long ageing.
Torbreck also produces elegant Grenache and varietal Mataro (Mourvèdre), reflecting the diversity of Barossa’s old-vine landscape, and its wines are regularly featured in top restaurants and collectors’ cellars worldwide.
