The 2024 Penny's Hill Single Vineyard Grenache is an old-vine McLaren Vale Grenache sourced from 75-year-old bush vines in Blewitt Springs. The nose is fragrant with redcurrant, strawberry and crushed raspberry, complemented by floral notes, red liquorice and white pepper.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and vibrant, with juicy red fruit, fresh acidity and fine, silky tannins. The fruit was hand-picked and fermented with 25% whole bunches, followed by seven months on lees in seasoned French oak puncheons, preserving freshness while adding savoury depth and texture.
