Compared to richer white Burgundy Grand Crus, Les Rocoules offers greater savoury complexity, mineral intensity and Rhône character while still delivering extraordinary texture and depth. Many collectors consider mature white Hermitage to be every bit as profound as the finest Montrachet or Corton-Charlemagne, and Marc Sorrel's tiny production makes this one of the rarest examples available. The exceptional 2023 vintage possesses incredible precision and structure, but this is ultimately a wine built for patience. While already fascinating with extended aeration, it will continue to evolve magnificently over the next 25–35 years.
