The 2026 Bondar Rosé is a vibrant, dry McLaren Vale Rosé built around 83% Grenache, with Cinsault and Mataro completing the blend. All the fruit comes from Bondar’s Rayner Vineyard, including Grenache from vines largely around 55 years old. The wine delivers juicy red fruit and watermelon with impressive purity and freshness.
On the palate, it is layered yet refreshing, with bright fruit, a chalky, pithy grip and a long watermelon-driven finish. Grenache and Cinsault are cool-fermented to retain freshness, while the Mataro is fermented warmer with full solids in ceramic amphora, adding savoury texture and complexity.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys dry Australian Rosé with juicy fruit, savoury texture and plenty of freshness. Best enjoyed young and well chilled over the next 2–3 years. Ideal with grilled prawns, salmon, Mediterranean salads, chargrilled chicken, antipasto or lightly spiced Asian dishes.
