The 2025 Neudorf Rosie’s Block Moutere Albariño is a single-vineyard, certified-organic white from Upper Moutere in Nelson, New Zealand. Grown on Moutere clay gravels and hand harvested, it shows lifted lime zest, white peach and citrus with sea spray, fresh fennel and oyster-shell notes, giving the wine a distinctive maritime and mineral character.
On the palate, it is vibrant and finely textured with crystalline acidity driving lime, pear and stone-fruit flavours. A pronounced saline quality and oyster-shell minerality add savoury complexity, while 30% fermentation in neutral puncheon provides subtle texture without obscuring the fruit. The finish is long, refreshing and mouth-watering, with excellent tension and definition.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Albariño drinkers who enjoy crisp, mineral-driven whites with saline freshness and subtle texture. Enjoy now or over the next few years and pair with freshly shucked oysters, mussels, kingfish sashimi, grilled prawns, calamari or other fresh seafood.
