The 2025 Mother Block Red Magnum is a vibrant Murray Darling blend from the Chalmers family, based on Nero d’Avola and Sagrantino with touches of Sangiovese and Teroldego. The nose shows strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, plum and cherry with earthy notes, liquorice, dark chocolate and gentle spice. The 1500ml magnum format makes this a distinctive larger-format release.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, juicy and supple, with redcurrant, plum and cherry skin supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of clove, sumac, cedar and mineral character add savoury detail. The fruit is co-fermented and matured in stainless steel, preserving freshness and the character of the Murray Darling vineyard.
