The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Santenay Les Charmes Dessus is a refined 100% Pinot Noir from Santenay in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. The domaine works around 0.5 hectares of 50-year-old vines just below the Clos Rousseau Premier Cru, where red clay and rocky limestone soils produce particularly fresh, aromatic reds. The 2024 shows raspberry and strawberry, with floral notes and a delicate peppery spice.
On the palate, it is lifted and finely structured, with juicy red fruit, bright acidity and elegant, powdery tannins leading to a long, spicy finish. The vineyard is known within the domaine for maintaining particularly strong acidity in its Pinot Noir. Jasper Morris MW awarded the 2024 91–93 points, recommending drinking from 2027–2032.
