The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Santenay Blanc is a refined 100% Chardonnay from Santenay in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Drawn from four parcels of mature vines averaging around 30 years old, including Les Bras and Le Chainey, it grows on exceptionally chalky, limestone-rich soils. The wine shows fresh pear, white peach and orchard fruit, layered with lemon, flinty minerality and subtle spice.
On the palate, it is bright and precise, with crisp citrus acidity balanced by a gently creamy mid-palate. Bachelet-Monnot ferments its whites naturally in 350-litre barrels, followed by maturation in barrel and stainless steel, helping retain freshness while building texture. The 2024 received 90–92 points from Neal Martin, who noted its almost Puligny-like character.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Chardonnay lovers seeking white Burgundy with freshness, creamy texture and pronounced mineral character. Best enjoyed from around 2027–2032.
