The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts is a superb 100% Chardonnay from one of Puligny-Montrachet’s most respected Premier Cru vineyards. The domaine farms a 0.45-hectare parcel of roughly 40-year-old vines on very stony, clay-rich soils. The 2024 is intensely mineral, showing crushed stone and citrus alongside white and yellow fruit, with subtle reductive complexity.
On the palate, it is taut, concentrated and energetic, combining generous fruit with vibrant acidity, rocky minerality and a powerful, persistent finish. Neal Martin awarded 93–95 points, describing it as one of the outstanding Les Referts of the vintage, while Jasper Morris MW scored it 91–94 points.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an outstanding choice for collectors seeking serious white Burgundy with depth, mineral tension and excellent ageing potential. Best enjoyed from around 2029–2040, although it can develop beyond this in a good cellar. Ideal with lobster, grilled scallops, roast barramundi, roast chicken or creamy mushroom dishes.
