The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Pommard is a refined 100% Pinot Noir from Pommard in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Most of the fruit comes from a 0.25-hectare parcel of 40-year-old vines in Chanlins, high on the slope near the Volnay border, with additional fruit from La Vache. The 2024 shows lifted raspberry and blackberry, complemented by subtle brown spice and mineral notes.
On the palate, it is elegant and poised rather than heavily structured, with fresh berry fruit, lively acidity and a fine backbone of tannins. The high-altitude, chalk-rich terroir gives this Pommard an unusually graceful, almost Volnay-like character. Neal Martin awarded it 89–91 points, highlighting its freshness and balance.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Burgundy lovers seeking Pommard with freshness, finesse and fine structure rather than sheer power. Enjoy from around 2027–2035, with potential to develop further. Ideal with roast duck, pork tenderloin, beef bourguignon, mushroom dishes or aged Comté.
