The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière Rouge is a beautifully expressive 100% Pinot Noir from one of Maranges’ most important Premier Cru vineyards in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Bachelet-Monnot works multiple parcels across this south-facing, limestone-rich site, with vines averaging around 60 years old. The 2024 offers lifted floral aromas with crushed strawberry, tayberry and vibrant red berries.
On the palate, it combines generous red fruit with supple tannins, lively acidity and a pronounced mineral core. There is impressive density and tension without heaviness, leading to a long, fresh and finely structured finish. Neal Martin awarded the 2024 92–94 points, describing it as a benchmark expression of Maranges.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Burgundy lovers seeking Premier Cru Pinot Noir with perfume, freshness and genuine ageing potential. Best enjoyed from around 2028–2032, with potential beyond that in a good cellar. Ideal with roast duck, lamb, beef bourguignon, mushroom dishes or aged Comté.
