The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière Blanc is a finely detailed 100% Chardonnay from one of Maranges’ leading Premier Cru sites in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Bachelet-Monnot works a small parcel of roughly 40-year-old vines at the higher reaches of La Fussière, where marly limestone soils contribute freshness and mineral definition. The wine shows bright citrus and white fruit with floral notes and a subtle reductive edge.
On the palate, it is precise and energetic, combining citrus-driven fruit with a slightly creamy mid-palate, lively acidity and a long, chalky mineral finish. The deeper soils here give the wine additional weight while maintaining excellent tension and balance. Neal Martin awarded the 2024 88–90 points.
