The 2023 Two Paddocks Pinot Noir is the flagship Central Otago Pinot Noir from Sam Neill’s Two Paddocks estate, combining organically grown fruit from all four of the family’s vineyards: The Fusilier in Bannockburn, First Paddock in Gibbston, and Last Chance and Red Bank in Alexandra. Two Paddocks began in 1993 when Neill planted his first vineyard in Gibbston, and the estate has since developed a rare footprint across three of Central Otago’s most important subregions. The vineyards are high-density planted, cropped to less than five tonnes per hectare and certified organic, allowing this wine to function as a complete expression of Central Otago rather than a single-site Pinot Noir.
