The 2023 Racines Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée Pinot Noir is a 100% Pinot Noir from California’s Sta. Rita Hills, blending fruit from La Rinconada, Rancho la Viña, Wenzlau Family, Sanford & Benedict and de Montille Estate vineyards. The nose shows raspberry and sour cherry with dried flowers, earthy herbs, pepper and subtle mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and focused, with bright red fruit, fresh acidity and fine, structured tannins. Around 40% whole clusters are retained during native-yeast fermentation, followed by 17 months in French oak with 15% new barrels, adding savoury depth while preserving freshness and regional character.
