The 2023 Racines Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée Chardonnay is a 100% Chardonnay blending fruit from several notable Sta. Rita Hills sites, including Wenzlau Family, La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict and de Montille Estate. The nose shows lime, citrus and orchard fruit with white flowers, wet stone and saline mineral notes, reflecting the region’s cool Pacific influence.
On the palate, it is focused and energetic, with vibrant citrus acidity, fine texture and layered mineral character. Native-yeast fermentation is followed by 11 months in French oak with around 20% new wood, then five months in stainless steel on lees, building texture while maintaining freshness and precision.
