The 2022 Racines Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée Chardonnay is a 100% Chardonnay from California’s cool Sta. Rita Hills, blending fruit from Wenzlau Family, La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict and the de Montille Estate vineyards. The nose shows lemon zest, green apple and white peach with floral, flinty and saline mineral notes.
On the palate, it is bright and finely textured, with citrus and orchard fruit carried by vibrant acidity and a mineral-driven core. Fermentation takes place in several sizes of French oak, followed by 11 months in barrel with 20% new oak and five months in stainless steel on lees, adding texture while retaining freshness.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those who enjoy cool-climate Chardonnay with bright acidity, restrained oak and coastal mineral character. Drinking well now with potential through around 2032. Ideal with scallops, grilled snapper, roast chicken, lobster or creamy mushroom dishes.
