The 2022 Racines Bentrock Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay from California’s Santa Barbara County. Sourced from two north-facing parcels in the windswept Bentrock Vineyard, it shows white flowers, lime zest and citrus with white-fleshed fruit, graphite and a distinctive saline mineral character.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet energetic, with bright citrus, vibrant acidity and a silky texture leading to a long, stony and lightly saline finish. Fermentation takes place in 500L puncheons and 228L barriques, followed by 11 months in French oak with 25% new oak and seven months in stainless steel on lees.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those who enjoy cool-climate Chardonnay with citrus intensity, mineral structure and restrained oak. Enjoy from around 2027, with strong potential for further bottle development. Ideal with scallops, grilled snapper, roast chicken, lobster or creamy mushroom dishes.
