The 2022 Les Pèlerins de Lafon-Rochet is the second wine of Château Lafon-Rochet from Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, made from 49% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot. The nose is precise and fruit-driven with blackberry, cassis and dark plum, complemented by herbs, pepper, subtle tobacco and finely integrated oak.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity and firm, structured tannins. Matured for at least 12 months in barrel, it combines juicy red and black fruits with savoury, earthy and saline notes, leading to a fresh, persistent finish.

At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Bordeaux drinkers who enjoy concentrated fruit, structured tannins and classic Saint-Estèphe savoury character in a more approachable style than the estate’s Grand Vin. Enjoy it now with decanting or cellar through around 2032 as further complexity develops. Ideal with roast lamb, grilled steak, slow-braised beef, duck or mushroom dishes.
