The 2022 Domaine Santa Duc Châteauneuf-du-Pape Habemus Papam is a powerful Southern Rhône red showing blackberry, black cherry and plum with garrigue herbs, pepper and warm spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with fresh acidity, firm tannins and layers of dark fruit, savoury herbs and earthy spice. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with a mineral edge adding definition.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Rhône drinkers seeking a structured Châteauneuf-du-Pape with depth and savoury complexity. Best enjoyed from 2027–2040. Pair with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, beef daube, duck with juniper or wild mushroom and thyme gratin.
