The 2020 Racines Bentrock Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County, California. This cool coastal site produces a concentrated yet energetic style, with aromas of lemon peel, green apple and grapefruit alongside white flowers, sea spray, flint and subtle almond notes.
On the palate, it is full and textural while retaining vibrant acidity. Citrus, tart pineapple and orchard fruit are layered with saline minerality and understated oak, leading to a long, fresh finish. The combination of richness and acidity gives this Chardonnay both immediate appeal and capacity to develop further in bottle.
