2018 Domaine Benoit Badoz Vin Jaune Côtes du Jura is a classic expression of Jura’s legendary oxidative white wine style, crafted entirely from Savagnin and matured under a natural yeast veil for over six years and three months in oak barrels. This traditional ageing method develops the wine’s distinctive nutty, spicy and intensely savoury character that defines the great wines of Jura.
Produced by the Badoz family in Poligny, one of the historical centres of Jura winemaking, the estate represents ten generations of viticulture, combining traditional techniques with modern organic vineyard practices.
The result is a deeply complex Vin Jaune with remarkable longevity, capable of ageing for decades while gradually revealing layers of savoury, nutty and mineral character.
