DOMAINE BENOIT BADOZ
Domaine Benoît Badoz is a family-owned winery located in the Jura wine region of eastern France, based in the historic village of Poligny, widely regarded as the capital of Comté cheese and traditional Jura wines. The Badoz family has been producing wines in the region for several generations, focusing on expressing the unique terroir of the Jura.
The estate cultivates classic Jura grape varieties including Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard (Ploussard), Trousseau and Pinot Noir. These grapes thrive in Jura’s limestone-rich soils and cool climate, producing wines known for their distinctive minerality, freshness and complex aromatics.
Domaine Benoît Badoz is particularly known for traditional Jura styles such as Vin Jaune and oxidative Savagnin wines, as well as elegant still wines from the Arbois and Côtes du Jura appellations. The wines often show layers of citrus, nuts, spice and savoury complexity, reflecting the region’s unique winemaking heritage.
