2021 Domaine du Clos de Sixte Lirac from Lirac is a classic Southern Rhône red crafted by Alain Jaume. Made from a traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the wine reflects the rich, sun-driven style of the region while maintaining balance and freshness.
The nose shows ripe aromas of blackberry, cassis and dark cherry, layered with notes of dried herbs, pepper and subtle spice typical of the Rhône’s garrigue landscape. The palate is full and generous, with juicy black fruit, smooth tannins and lively acidity that keeps the wine structured and balanced. The finish is long and savoury, with hints of liquorice and spice.

At Wine More Cellars, Lirac is one of the Rhône appellations we often recommend to customers looking for Châteauneuf-du-Pape character at a much more approachable price. The 2021 Clos de Sixte is a great example — rich, structured and expressive, yet still very drinkable. It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled meats, hearty stews or aged cheeses.
