Taittinger Cuvée Prestige Rosé NV Magnum is an expressive Brut Rosé Champagne blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, presented in an impressive 1500ml bottle, equivalent to two standard bottles. Its distinctive colour comes from the addition of still red Pinot Noir wine sourced from the Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys, bringing aromatic intensity and depth to the blend. Chardonnay contributes the freshness and finesse central to Taittinger’s style, while the red varieties provide fruit and structure. The house describes at least three years of cellar maturation for Prestige Rosé, developing texture while preserving its bright, youthful character.
Expect wild raspberry, strawberry, cherry and blackcurrant, complemented by gentle spice and subtle bread-like complexity. The palate combines generous red-fruit flavour with refreshing acidity, fine bubbles and a velvety texture. Taittinger’s own descriptions emphasise its balance of intensity, freshness and elegance, making it equally appealing as an aperitif or alongside food. Previously reviewed releases have received 91 Points from William Kelley, who highlighted red berries, plum, orange zest and freshly baked bread. As a non-vintage cuvée, the precise blend and character can vary between releases, while the signature remains vivid fruit, supple texture and a lively finish.
