The 2024 Dr. Loosen Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling GG is a dry Mosel Riesling from the dramatically steep Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard. Grown on distinctive red volcanic rock, it shows pineapple, mango and ripe citrus with herbal notes, anise and savoury spice, giving this site a particularly exotic expression of Riesling.
On the palate, it is dry and concentrated with vibrant acidity, ripe tropical fruit and pronounced mineral structure. The fruit is hand-picked and spontaneously fermented, followed by extended lees ageing, adding depth and texture while maintaining freshness. The finish is long, spicy and mineral-driven.
