A benchmark Hunter Valley Shiraz from Andrew Thomas, sourced from the old-vine Pokolbin Estate vineyard planted in 1969. The flagship wine of the Thomas range, Kiss is known for combining depth and concentration with the medium-bodied elegance that defines great Hunter Shiraz. The nose shows blackberry, satsuma plum and dark cherry alongside violet, black pepper, earth, spice and subtle smoky oak. There’s a lifted floral perfume and savoury complexity that gives the wine both power and finesse.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with dense dark fruit, fine structural tannins and bright acidity carrying through a long polished finish. Concentrated yet controlled, with classic Hunter savoury detail balanced by richness and exceptional length.

More refined and savoury than blockbuster Australian Shiraz styles, with outstanding balance and serious ageing potential. Exceptional with lamb, duck or slow-cooked beef.
