The 2024 Thomas Wines Kiss Shiraz is a single-vineyard Hunter Valley Shiraz sourced from the mature Pokolbin Estate Vineyard, planted in 1969 on classic clay-loam soils. The nose is concentrated and expressive, showing dark cherry, blackberry and plum with pepper, spice and subtle savoury notes. Significantly, 2024 marks the final Kiss Shiraz from this original vineyard following its redevelopment.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity and structured tannins. The wine spent 16 months in French oak hogsheads, including 20% new oak, adding gentle spice and depth while maintaining its regional Shiraz character.
