A vibrant and approachable Hunter Valley Semillon from Andrew Thomas, blending old-vine fruit from Braemore, Oakey Creek and Fordwich Hill vineyards. Made entirely in stainless steel, the wine focuses on freshness, purity and immediate drinkability while still showing classic Hunter structure. The nose shows lime zest, grapefruit and green apple alongside lemongrass, gooseberry and subtle grassy notes. Bright citrus aromatics and floral lift give the wine plenty of freshness and energy.
On the palate, it is light-bodied and crisp with vibrant acidity, juicy citrus fruit and a clean mineral finish. Fresh, zippy and highly refreshing, with excellent balance and plenty of classic Hunter Semillon character.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A superb value Hunter Valley Semillon — bright, refreshing and dangerously easy to drink. Perfect with fresh seafood, oysters or light summer dishes. Best enjoyed young for its vibrant citrus character, though it will cellar comfortably through 2031+.
