The 2023 Penny's Hill Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a site-driven McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon from the Peppermint Farm vineyard, planted in 1994 on alluvial clay, shale and rocky soils. The nose shows dark berries, cedar and sandalwood with subtle fennel, sage and savoury spice.
On the palate, it is concentrated and structured, with ripe plum and blackcurrant complemented by olive notes, fresh acidity and fine tannins. The wine spends 16 months in French oak barriques, adding depth and structure while retaining clear varietal character and a long savoury finish.
