The 2023 Onannon Tuerong Robinson Vineyard Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay sourced from the Robinson Vineyard in Tuerong, where vines planted between 1988 and 1994 produce fruit with impressive concentration and detail. This cool-climate Chardonnay opens with aromas of white peach, nectarine and lemon curd, complemented by hints of white flowers, brioche, flint and subtle oak spice. The vineyard's warmer pocket within the Peninsula contributes generosity, while retaining the freshness that defines the region.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully textured, with layers of stone fruit, citrus zest and pink grapefruit supported by bright acidity and a fine mineral edge. Barrel fermentation and maturation in French oak add complexity and depth, while maintaining balance and precision. The finish is long, savoury and persistent, with flinty notes and refreshing acidity carrying through to the end.
