The 2023 Lucien Le Moine Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots Rouge is a structured Pinot Noir from Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, showing black cherry, raspberry and plum with violet, earthy spice and subtle mineral notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated and finely structured, with bright acidity, firm tannins and layers of red and dark fruit, savoury spice and earthy character. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with excellent cellaring potential.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Burgundy drinkers who enjoy powerful, structured Premier Cru Pinot Noir. Best enjoyed from 2028–2040. Pair with braised beef cheek, roast duck, lamb shoulder with rosemary or wild mushroom and truffle gratin.
