The 2023 Lucien Le Moine Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru Rouge is a powerful and refined Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. The nose shows black cherry, raspberry and dark plum with violet, fine spice and earthy mineral notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated and structured, with vibrant acidity, firm polished tannins and layers of red and dark fruit, savoury spice and stony minerality. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with excellent potential for further bottle development.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an exceptional choice for Burgundy collectors seeking a deep, structured Grand Cru Pinot Noir. Best enjoyed from 2030–2045. Pair with roast squab, venison with juniper, beef fillet with mushroom jus or truffle and porcini risotto.
