The 2021 Venta la Vega Adaras Aldea is an organic red blend from Spain's Almansa DO, crafted from 80% Garnacha Tintorera and 20% Syrah grown on high-altitude limestone soils. Fermented in stainless steel with natural malolactic fermentation and matured for three months in French oak foudres, it offers a fresh yet expressive style. The nose is vibrant with aromas of blackberry, plum and blackcurrant, complemented by toasted spice, mineral notes and subtle floral hints.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with smooth tannins, lively acidity and generous dark fruit. Flavours of ripe blackberry, cherry and plum are balanced by savoury spice and a touch of oak, leading to a long, fresh finish with excellent balance. Approachable on release, it will continue to drink well over the next 5–7 years.
