The 2021 Tellurian Estate Sommet Shiraz is a refined Victorian red showing blackberry, dark cherry and plum with violet, cracked pepper, savoury herbs and subtle earthy spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and finely structured, with vibrant acidity, firm tannins and layers of dark fruit, pepper and savoury mineral character. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with the structure to develop further in bottle.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Shiraz drinkers seeking a structured Victorian red with depth, freshness and savoury complexity. Best enjoyed from 2027–2036. Pair with slow-braised beef cheek, rosemary lamb shoulder, venison with pepper jus or wild mushroom and truffle pie.
