The Champagne Pascal Agrapart Grand Cru Avizoise Blanc de Blancs 2019 (Disgorged June 2025) is a beautifully layered and powerful grower Champagne from old-vine Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru village of Avize in the Côte des Blancs. Crafted by Pascal Agrapart with extended lees ageing, fermentation in older oak and restrained dosage, the wine combines Avize’s signature chalky tension with greater depth and texture than the more linear Minéral cuvée. The nose reveals preserved lemon, ripe orchard fruit and white peach layered alongside toasted hazelnut, brioche and smoky chalk minerality, giving the wine remarkable complexity and elegance.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with exceptionally fine mousse, vibrant natural acidity and a deep mineral core. Layers of citrus oil, yellow apple and savoury lees complexity are balanced by saline freshness and subtle nutty richness, finishing long, textured and beautifully persistent with outstanding precision and ageing potential. The warm yet balanced 2019 vintage adds generosity without compromising the wine’s hallmark tension and structure.
