AGRAPART AND FILS

Agrapart & Fils is one of the most respected grower-producers in Champagne, known for crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines almost exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. Founded in 1894, the estate is based in Avize, one of Champagne’s most prestigious villages, and has remained family-owned for four generations.

Under the stewardship of Pascal Agrapart, the domaine has achieved cult status among Champagne enthusiasts for its natural viticulture, low-intervention winemaking, and singular focus on expressing the unique chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs. Pascal farms around 12 hectares, mostly in Avize, Oger, Cramant, and Oiry—all Grand Cru villages—with biodynamic and organic practices, though without formal certification.

Agrapart’s wines are the essence of terroir Champagne. All cuvées are vinified with native yeasts, mostly in neutral oak barrels, and undergo extended aging on the lees, often far beyond the legal minimum. Dosage is minimal or entirely absent, allowing the wines’ mineral precision and complexity to shine through.

Though small in scale, Agrapart produces several cuvées that regularly outperform prestige bottlings from major houses. Flagship wines like “Terroirs” (Extra Brut Grand Cru) and “Mineral” are benchmarks for lovers of elegant, tension-filled Champagne with depth and structure. These are Champagnes built not only for celebration, but for serious contemplation and gastronomy.
