OLIVIER LEFLAIVE

Domaine Olivier Leflaive is a renowned wine estate and négociant house located in Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. The Leflaive family has a deep-rooted history in the region, with their winemaking heritage dating back to 1717, when Claude Leflaive first settled in Puligny-Montrachet. In the 20th century, Joseph Leflaive significantly expanded the family’s vineyard holdings, setting the stage for future generations.

The modern chapter began in 1984, when Olivier Leflaive, representing the 18th generation of the family, founded Maison Olivier Leflaive with support from his brother Patrick and uncle Vincent Leflaive. Initially operating as a négociant, the house sourced grapes from trusted growers, placing strong emphasis on long-term relationships and quality sourcing. Over time, Olivier Leflaive began acquiring its own vineyards, and today the domaine owns approximately 26 hectares.

Sustainability and a deep respect for terroir guide the estate’s viticultural philosophy. Vineyard work is done with great care and attention to the rhythms of nature, minimizing environmental impact and preserving the character of each site. This ethos extends to the cellar, where winemaking practices are designed to express the individuality and complexity of each parcel. The wines are celebrated for their purity, elegance, and faithful expression of Burgundy’s diverse terroirs. They are regularly featured on fine wine lists and in top restaurants around the world.
