The 2018 Quin Wines Barossa Valley Grenache is a concentrated and savoury expression of Grenache from South Australia’s Barossa Valley. The nose combines strawberry and cranberry with green peppercorn, dried herbs, earthy spice and distinctive slate-like mineral notes, giving the ripe fruit plenty of savoury complexity.
On the palate, it is full and structured, with strawberry and raspberry fruit supported by herbs, spice and firm tannins. The hand-harvested fruit was divided between 100% whole-bunch and 50% whole-bunch ferments, spending four weeks on skins before the components were pressed together and matured for eight months in French oak.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Grenache drinkers who enjoy structured Barossa reds with ripe fruit, savoury spice and whole-bunch complexity. With bottle age already adding development, it can be enjoyed now or cellared further. Ideal with roast lamb, grilled pork, slow-cooked beef, mushroom dishes, charcuterie or aged cheeses.
