2017 Freemark Abbey Sycamore Cabernet Sauvignon - The winter continued a dry weather pattern and bud break was early. The growing season was moderate, near ideal, and on an early pace. Most varieties were harvested in September with a final wrap up on October 10th, allowing us to receive in all the fruit prior to any rains developing.
Mint, spearmint, dark-berry and blueberry aromas. Leaves and sage, too. Full-bodied and firm with fantastic depth. Cool fruit with menthol and mint. Spice. Refreshing. Firm tannins. Fantastic 2017. Drink or hold. - 97 points, Top 100 Wines of the USA 2021
