2023 Domaine Marc-antonin Blain Chassagne Montrachet

Run by Marc-Antonin Blain, son of Jean-Marc and Claudine of the famed Burgundian producer Blain-Gagnard, the vineyard was handed to him by his Grandfather a year before his passing. Spanning 1.16 ha the Domaine is divded amongst four appellations including Batard Montrachet. 

Super-ripe lemon and green fruits, almost veering to apricot. Creamy too. Powerful in its ripeness but, to my surprise, not lacking in freshness, though the acid seems quite soft. Persistent too. Dense rather than elegant. – Jancis Robinson
