These grapes were harvested from five different plots where some of the vines are more than 40 years old. Partly, they lie downhill from Chassagne’s road to Santenay, partly from La Platière, with some tiny Pinot grapes from Les Lombardes. Cordon-pruning is widely-seen, to restrict yields and help aeration of the bunches. The wine is ruby-purple of medium depth, the nose recalling cherries and raspberries. Palate shows bright fruitiness, with chewy middle and fresh, fine aftertaste.
