2023 Domaine J.A. Ferret Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the heart of Fuissé in Burgundy’s Mâconnais. The vineyard sits on limestone-rich marl soils on a gentle east-facing slope, with vines dating back to the 1950s, producing wines of depth, richness, and mineral precision typical of top Pouilly-Fuissé terroirs. This wine shows aromas of citrus, green apple, hazelnut, and bergamot, with subtle hints of flint and gentle oak. The palate is velvety and expressive, combining creamy texture with vibrant freshness and a mineral backbone.
