A block and barrel selection from our treasured old vine blocks within the Greenock vineyard. Hand selected barrels show soaring aromatics of blackberry pastille, violets, licorice, with complexing notes of star anise and ink well. Texture and flavour build momentum as it draws long across the palate. Tannins are chalky, firm and very tight with a lovely subtle savoury mineral edge. A wine of commanding old vine power.
