2024 Alasia Moscato d’Asti DOCG from Piedmont is a classic expression of Moscato Bianco, known for its intense aromatics and low alcohol (around 5%). The nose is highly fragrant and lifted, showing notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom and fresh grapes, alongside apricot, peach and citrus zest. It’s a very expressive style, with a natural sweetness that feels bright rather than heavy.
On the palate, it is light, gently sparkling (frizzante) and beautifully balanced, offering flavours of stone fruit, grape, citrus and honey, supported by refreshing acidity and a soft mousse. The key to Moscato d’Asti is balance — although it is sweet, the low alcohol and natural acidity keep it fresh, clean and incredibly easy to drink.
