MOSCATO
Moscato is a popular and aromatic wine style made from the Muscat grape family, one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. Known for its fruity sweetness, floral aromas and low alcohol, Moscato has become a favourite for casual drinking and those new to wine.
Moscato is most famously associated with Italy, particularly the Moscato d’Asti DOCG from Piedmont, where it is typically made as a lightly sparkling (frizzante) wine. It is also widely produced in Australia, France and the United States, often in both still and sparkling styles.
Moscato wines are known for their intense aromatics, offering flavours of grape, peach, orange blossom, citrus and tropical fruit. They are usually light-bodied, slightly sweet to sweet, with refreshing acidity that keeps the wine balanced and easy to drink.Moscato typically has a lower alcohol level (around 5–8%), making it a popular choice for relaxed occasions and social drinking.
