The 2019 Gabin & Félix Richoux Irancy Merci la Foule is a rare and characterful cuvée from one of Irancy’s benchmark biodynamic estates. Produced from old-vine Pinot Noir grown on the appellation’s prized Kimmeridgian limestone soils, the wine reflects the Richoux family’s commitment to low-intervention winemaking and authentic terroir expression. The outstanding 2019 vintage provided excellent ripeness and concentration, resulting in a wine of both depth and finesse.
The nose reveals ripe red cherry, wild raspberry and cranberry alongside notes of rose petal, spice and subtle forest floor. The palate is beautifully textured, combining vibrant red fruit with fine tannins and refreshing acidity. Layers of crushed stone, earthy savoury notes and delicate truffle nuances emerge through a long, elegant finish. Despite its concentration, the wine retains the freshness and mineral character that make the best Irancy wines so distinctive.

A beautifully expressive Burgundy that highlights the quality and individuality of Irancy. Elegant, savoury and highly food-friendly, it pairs wonderfully with duck, roast chicken, pork dishes and mushroom-based cuisine. Enjoy now with a short decant, or cellar through 2038 and beyond as it develops greater earthy complexity and Burgundian nuance.
